You must meet all of these criteria to be eligible to enter:
You are a woman (or nominating a woman) who is either an Australian citizen or has Australian residency status.
You (or your nominee) are not an employee of Fairfax or Westpac, a judge or direct supplier of the Awards.
If entering the Business Enterprise category, your business must have been operating for at least 36 months as at Monday, June 30, 2016.
If entering (or being nominated for) the Young Leader Award, you will be aged 30 years or younger as at Wednesday, August 31, 2016.
All employees of Westpac Banking Corporation ABN 33 007457 141 (including those working in the St.George Bank, BankSA or Bank of Melbourne divisions) and the Westpac Group companies Asgard Wealth Solutions Ltd; BT Financial Group Pty Limited; Hastings Management Pty Limited; Westpac Financial Consultants Limited; and Westpac General Insurance Services Limited are ineligible to enter the Financial Review / Westpac Group 100 Women of Influence Awards. Employees of Fairfax Media Publications Pty Ltd and agencies and companies associated with this competition are not eligible to enter.
Entries open on Friday June 3, 2016 and close on Friday August 5, 2016 (at 5pm AEST).
Entries must be made as described on 100womenofinfluence.com.au and provide the information as set out in the criteria for a valid entry.
Each entrant must supply a contact for the awards, to whom requests for further information, or update on the status of the entry before or after the close date, will be directed.
An entrant may submit multiple entries (for different categories) but may only submit one entry for a single category. If multiple entries received for one woman (from the same source), in one category the last submission will be accepted. If multiple entries received for one woman (from different sources), in the one category, the entries will be combined.
Entries in every category may be verified by the judging panel, e.g. by way of request for further information.
An entrant can be nominated by a third party, and in this case the person submitting the entry must obtain the consent of the person they propose to enter, prior to submitting the entry form.
Entrants must be prepared to meet reasonable requests for additional information from the judging panel and its representatives.
The judging panel reserves the right to make a special award that falls outside the prescribed categories, where, in the opinion of the judging panel that the entrant merits recognition not covered by the prescribed categories.
The judging panel reserves the right not to make an award in any category.
Additional information not forming part of the entry form should be listed in the appendix, but not submitted unless directly requested by the judges.
All or any information regarding entrants which are provided by the entrant or person nominating the entrant may be featured in any channel of Fairfax Media Ltd publications at its sole discretion.
Category winners are asked to make themselves available for publicity and may be asked to participate in the promotion of the awards in 2015.
Information from entries, including name, job title, category of entry and photo will be featured on a 100 Women Of Influence Alumni Page, hosted on 100womenofinfluence.com.au and the Westpac Ruby network.
Entrants and those submitting entries on behalf of others may be contacted by Fairfax Media with information about the awards or special offers from Fairfax Media and or Westpac.
The decision of the judges is final.
Fairfax Media and Westpac accept no responsibility for entry submissions not received for any reason.
Submission of a nomination constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Winners (in each category) will be announced at the awards event to be held in Sydney on Thursday October 27, 2016 and subsequently in Fairfax Media Ltd publications.
All entrants and persons who nominate an entrant acknowledge that Fairfax has engaged Korn Ferry to assist with the judging process for the Women of Influence Awards and that Westpac is the major sponsor of the Women of Influence Awards. All entrants and persons who nominate them consent to all information from entries, including name, job title, category of entry and photo being provided to Korn Ferry for purposes related to the judging process and for the entrant’s name, company and contact information being provided by Fairfax to the Westpac Group for the purpose of extending invitations to networking opportunities.
These terms and conditions are governed by the law in New South Wales, Australia and each entrant and person nominating an entrant submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia and courts of appeal from them.
